Welcome
to Chicago Riot Rugby, a social athletic club founded in 2006 by a group of
former University of Illinois at Chicago Rugby players. This club was
formed to embrace the social aspects of the sport, along with offering a
competitive atmosphere to contend on the rugby pitch. Last
year, The Chicago Riot completed their Fall competitive 2010 season with a
conference record of 7-2. We also
amassed 35 points and finishing in 2nd place in the DIII Western Conference
Central League, earning our first playoff berth since inception. Our
season ended with a 19-16 loss in the first round after traveling to Iowa to
play the #1 seed. During the Spring 2011 season we finished with a overall record of 11-4, including a 1st place victory in
the SIU All Fools Tournament. Chicago
Riot Rugby is actively seeking players for the Fall rugby season, which
begins in August 2011. All players with no to extensive experience are
welcomed. For information on playing for the
Chicago Riot, visit the page entitled Join the Riot. |
